My demo of this song was used in the soap opera “Days Of Our Lives”, and thanks to that very loyal audience, when Gloria’s and Carl’s record came out, it flew to the top of the charts and stayed there for many weeks. It was a really fun time because the ‘country’ version of the song, by Eddie Rabbit and Juice Newton, was flying up the country charts at the same time. Lucky timing.
