“Cocoon” – Feature Film
Arranger/Producer – Jay Gruska
James Horner was the composer of the score to this wonderful movie. He asked me to arrange and produce music for a couple of scenes that needed a ‘contemporary’ version of one of his themes. It features Andy Narell on steel drums, Steve Tavaglione on Sax and EWI (electric wind instrument) and a horn section that includes Larry Williams and Brandon Fields. If it sounds a little dated…..it’s because it is. These were the early days of drum machines, which I regret having used on this.
