“Dinner with Don” – Web Series
This cool little 20 episode web series directed by Robert Bauer and produced by Chili Scot Cru and Robert Bauer, is a wonderful homage to comedy legend-Don Rickles. Conceptually similar to Jerry Seinfeld’s Comedians In Cars Getting Coffee, it features Don having dinner at various LA eateries and chatting with the likes of: Paul Rudd/Zach Galafinakis/Amy Poehler/Sarah Silverman/Robert Deniro(yes, that RD)/Martin Scorcese(yes, that MS)/Ryan Gosling/Seth MacFarlane/Jay Z/Snoop Dogg and others waiting to be booked. An honest and funny glimpse into Don and the people he speaks to in each episode.
I was asked to write the main theme and a few small connective tissue pieces, which I happily did.
The cool band consisted of: Jeff Babko-piano/Barbara Gruska(yes, that BG)-drums/Sean Hurley-bass/Steve Tavaglione and Ron King-horn section.
